The Early Childhood Education Academy provides students with the opportunity to take dual enrollment courses in education that simultaneously earn high school and college credit. Students are introduced to key concepts in education such as human development and health and safety as well as key structural components of early childhood education. Students learn through the completion of projects that simulate lesson planning and delivery of teachers. Opportunities are also provided for students to visit local early childhood centers and pre-kindergarten classrooms for laboratory experiences.
